This data set provides the results of a 1993 survey relating to the frequency and forms of political participation engaged in by Chinese citizens. The survey was conducted by Tianjian Shi of Duke University and has a total of 3287 respondents.
Findings relating to this survey have been published by Shi in a 2001 article in Comparative Politics entitled "Cultural Values and Political Trust: A Comparison of the People's Republic of China and Taiwan."
